Yeah, Bond have said that. But they don't like to be compared because they see Bond's and VM's music styles as completely different.

I am very sorry for giving wrong news. At the website I got this information it said very clearly, and twice, that it was Vanessa-Mae. I have e-mailed the webmaster.

She performed the song "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime" and she actually played Haylie Ecker's part from Bond which was originally recorded with Vanessa Carlton.

I was just wondering what is the significance of the song the Blessed Spirits, because it seems kind of pointless to me. She only plays for a few minutes out of it and it's really long, and kind of strange because of the guitar intro and the chanting.

So what exactly is the song about?

I think it has to do with their image. Bond (and V-M) don't dress 'traditionally,' I guess. I remember someone saying the classical world is turning into a wet t-shirt contest. I think their modern image goes perfectly along with the style.
