Classical Brit Awards 2005: good luck Vanessa-Mae

Post by Xanthippe »

Our Vanessa-Mae will not perform at this years Classical Brit Awards, but she is nominated for the album of the year award with her 'Choreography' cd.

The awards ceremony takes place in the Royal Albert Hall this Wednesday May 25th, and will be be televised in the UK first on ITV 3: 8pm Sunday 29th May, then on ITV 1: 11.15pm Sunday 29th May. See the website of the CBA's at:

The Classical Brit Awards 2005

Since our Vanessa-Mae is currently in the UK, I suppose she will be present on the ceremony evening.

We all hope that she will win the 'Album of the Year' award, of course: SO GOOD LUCK TO YOU VANESSA-MAE!!!!!!!

Is anyone able to tape the show, just in case our girl wins or in case she is shown in the broadcast in any other way or moment!

Arioch, can you tape it!!??

Choreography award?

Post by amQhr »

Sorry, I would have allowed her a grant for her best popular new CD
ever.

Yes, Katharine Jenkins won the award. This should come as no surprise because Kathereine Jenkins is very popular in the Uk and sahe topped the classic charts many weeks.

I think it is good that our girl received a nomination for her album. This shows that she is still big in the scene in classical music when it comes to media attention and from fans and from the cd's buying music lovers in general.

I was sure Vanessa-Mae wouldnt get the award. Vocalists are more popular than instrumentalists.
