Thanks, MSam for the news.

This collection release shows that interests in Vanessa-Mae are still alive.

This collection release shows that interests in Vanessa-Mae are still alive.
Especially EMI's interests!
Maybe they have heard of a up-coming release of a new album and are attempting to cash in on it?
But one good thing they are giving our Noodles some advertising and they will be paying her for it :)

Talking of advertising...
1. Has any-one seen the new advert for the box set?
2. Has any-one recorded it?

Very nice, although I would have liked to have seen TVP/Storm/CA III .. since the track 'Storm' was taken from Vivaldi's 'Summer'.

So, does this leave one or two more EMI releases?

VM: The Later Years
CA2
CA3
STC

VM: The EMI Years

EMI will certainly creatively seek to make more money out of our girl. Joe, you mentioned a few options for them.

I ordered the Platinum Collection via amazon.co.uk. I expect it this somewhere this coming week. It is not available overhere in the stores yet!

I received the new 3cd boxset, The Platinum Collection.

It is really not too special: just the 3 oriiginal cd's and booklets in 3 cd cases combined in a cardboard box.

Thanks, MSam.

Did anyone see this TV spot somewhere? Any of our friends in the UK?

I haven't seen the advert in the UK but I don't really watch much TV so I could easily have missed it.

I suppose EMI must still consider Vanessa-Mae a sellable artist, if they are willing to put money into TV advertising. How many of their artists get 30-second TV ads for a compilation of old material? Not many, unless it's just before Christmas!

Is there any one who is a member of you tube who could send easternboy71 a request for a copy of the advert?

for thoes that cant wait for the origional, its possible to download streaming flash movies. in firefox anyway. not too sure about ie. its the same quality though
im sure theres plenty of ways to do it, but this is the way ive managed to do it
**note, i dont use any anti virus stuff on this comp as its only an old spare while i wait for my powersupply for my main, so if any of this has a virus let me know and ill remove it.**
1) download the addon from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/ called VideoDownloader
2) follow the example at http://videodownloader.net/help/vd04.htm on how to use it
3) download a flv player (i used the one in the link on the popup window. but im sure any will do)
4) play the downloaded flash file
it does work offline, i removed the cable from my pc when i tested it and it worked without a problem.
again this is one way ive found, im sure theres others.
