How come I can't find her in the artist list at sonymusic.com?

Noodles is listed under the 'M.' She should be under the 'V' in my opinion!

I have asked Sony to change it.
Vaness-Mae is now listed under 'V' :finger:

It nice to know that they care more than the other lot did.

That is very good and a sign that they take us fans seriously. I am very happy that Sony reacted so swift and decisively.

At my Best Buy she is listed as Mae, Vanessa - I thought it was pretty funny actually! It's like Sue, Peggy or Marie, Anne.

Remember, though, when Vanessa gets credit as a songwriter, it's as "Mae". So maybe Sony had that in mind. I don't think I've ever seen her filed under V in any store. It can be almost as confusing for them as whether to file her in the classical or popular section! :p

Record Shops/Music Shops and most people who have heard
of Vanessa-Mae (even Fans) have only heard and known
her has Vanessa Mae, so they assume Mae is her last name
Vanessa Mae is hyphenated Vanessa-Mae, this is to show
that Vanessa and Mae are linked.
Most record shops are not interested in this they probably
do not even realise that her first name is Vanessa-Mae.
Vanessa-Mae has even stated that she gets irritated by
members of the Media calling her Miss Mae.
On Sony's part this was an error with the listing, the person
maintaining the site was one of the many who did not realise.
When i informed Sony they immediately corrected their
mistake.

Vanessa-Mae is signed at Sony Classical. Sony Classical is also the owner of the vanessa-mae.com domain. So, for Sony our Noodles is a classical artist!

I can imagine very well that the person filing the entry in their artist database made a mistake, after he might not be familiar with her at all and not with her music.

The fact that they changed the entry so quickly after receiving Arioch's email is a good sign and show that they respect the fans and the artists, in this case our Vanessa-Mae.
