I forget details but likely was a member of one of the previous forums.

I have been away for a week,.. wow,.. so much to read now.

I checked users at all previous VMF forums. I did not see anyone going by "david martin".

I was mistaken.
It just sounded like the transposed name of a former VM-L member.

Glad that this guy is caught.
Now I hope she has some peace of mind.
Hope they sentence hima long time in jail, but probable he will just be reprimanded and is not allowed to come near Vanessa-Mae again.

A man who sent dozens of "threatening" letters to classical violinist Vanessa Mae today admitted stalking her.

Obsessed fan David Martin, 56, kept log books with detailed descriptions of Miss Mae's movements from her Kensington address. The hospital engineer, who sat silently during the short hearing at West London magistrates' court, was arrested on 17 October outside the star's home, allegedly carrying a knife and a bunch of letters.

Martin, of Western Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to one charge of harassment but said he was carrying the knife for work reasons and intended no harm to the violinist.

District Judge Davinder Lachar adjourned the hearing for reports and remanded Martin in custody until 5 December. At an earlier hearing Tele Fashanu, prosecuting, said Miss Mae's mother first alerted police to Martin in

1997. He said "the matter was further reported to police in 2001 - there was an increase in the number of letters sent".

On 12 October Miss Mae was approached by the defendant while she took her dog for a walk, added Mr Fashanu. "She was scared for her safety."

David Martin remains in custody for psychiatric assessment until December 24th.

Vanessa Mae described the harassment as causing her "a great deal of distress".

Ms Tele Fashanu, presucutor, read tVanessa-Mae's statement at the hearing.

Reading Vanessa's statement makes me so sad.

Put him away that's what I say?
so what if he gives to charities this does not necessarily
make him a good person.
If a person can harrass another person whever famous or not
to get pleasure out of it then there is something seriously
wrong with him/her.

These people make me SICK!!!!!

As Rijko mentioned in the news section, David Martin is being sentenced Wednesday for keep track of Vanessa-Mae's movements, trying to speak to her and presenting gifts.

Here we are keep track of Vanessa-Mae's movements, leaving "messages" to her and presenting gifts.

I am innocent for i respect her wishes!

We all follow our girl but the difference
with us is that we only follow her career.

We do not follow her everyday movements
i.e to and from her home.

When we present her with Cards and gifts
we do it through the correct channels and
thanks to Rijko who has held his promise
and proved to Vanessa and her staff, that
he has gained Vanessa-Mae's trust to
enable us to present her with Gifts on her
Birthday, and with this Vanessa-Mae
recognises that the members of this Forum
are her friends.

Yes I am guilty of following her career and
i will do so until the sad day when our girl
calls it a day.

David Martin had a dream that could never
be, and this he was unable to accept.

This guy thinks he is a fan?
all stalkers call themselves fans?
No!
A real fan supports their star and accepts
their decisions and gives them their space.
