Chinese forum freinds?

I posted here about a year and a half ago looking for the english words to happy valley and of coarse daisy came through. Now I have another question but is not related to Vanessa- Mae (sorry) I am looking for the chinese word for kathmando in Chinese Calligraphy. Any one???

well, I can't say that it is accurate; but Babelfish does show some Chinese letters when I ask it to translate.

I take that back. It shows for some phrases, but not for kathmando (or katmando). It does show some for "kathmandu".

Try loading Chinese fonts onto your PC? I am not sure, I've never done this ... but would like to learn how to do it via HTML.

You might also try "PrtScrn" into paint, and saving it as an image. You may be able to insert it that way.

Anyone else have an idea?

Hey Canfan,

I got the answer.

Copy from Babelfish, and paste into Word. If Chinese fonts do not display, you must install them. When they do display during the paste process, change their MS Word font to be Arial Unicode MS. If this font is not listed, check the MS Word help on how to install it. Now the Chinese characters will be there the next time you open the word document.

(BTW, I found out how to do it in HTML. Simply paste the character in notepad, and save the document in Unicode format).

I need to know if the Chinese writing, bottom right corner
of the China Girl cover stands for V-Mae
the bit with the big sweeping V

To the best of my knowledge, the V is for Vanessa (non-Chinese of course). The next character is "mei" (both traditional and simplified Chinese) which means beautiful. "mei" might also mean America (correct me on this); but not in this case.

Vanessa is also known as Chen Mei. The character for Chen can be found on my web site.

and,yes.the bottom right corner of "china girl" is V”ü.than mean vanessa mae.mae is the sound of”ü
