I just tried to open a local copy of that web page (FSVM chat.html). It didn't seem to work. I'll PM what I believe is the applet code section to you both anyway.

copy everything from the <html> to the </html> and paste it into a text editor and save it as VMChat.htm
after that, doubble click on the file and it should load up.
if u want to change the background, rename a jpg to VM.jpg and place it in the same directory as the htm file

ben, u put an url in the old forum that linked to the applet, thats the one i got, i downloaded all the info and tried to use it on my own comp, but it didnt work

thats the one i posted, is it the same applet?

Yeah, that was an experimental applet I was trying, I found its functions too limiting so I stopped using it.

In fact, that very applet can't be used on vm.org, it has to be used on the same server the IRC network is hosted on. It's rediculous.

The one I provided is a slightly older applet, but it will work on any website.
