'The Ultimate Collection' of Vanessa-Mae will be released in Germany on January 5th in 2004. So far, to my knowledge, The Ultimate was only available for general release in the UK.
Also, Vanessa-Mae did not take part in any way in promoting this album, which can be seen as a sign that she considers her time at EMI as a closed book and that she wants to move on musically and artistically on her new contract at the sony label.
Apparently, EMI continues to profit commercially from their legal rights on all the material. 'The Ultimate Collection' together with 'The Best of Vanessa-Mae' offer a good overview of her career so, and are therefore interesting for collectors and true fans and for those people who only seek to buy the best of her career in one collection cd.
