Yesterday a federal court judge stated that sharing media is not a violation of canadian law and that ISP cannot be requiered to hand over client information by request of the record industry. It shifts the burden of the proof on the music industry.

It is refreshing to finally see a country in which the courts are still free of political interventions and still protect the civil rights of the citizens.

I m sure the RIAA lobyist are already preparing shocking documents about the Communist Canadian prime minister that is secretly hiding terrorists, and about all our weapons of mass destructions. And especially the rich oil and natural gaz feilds.

Well , we did unleashed uppon the world Celine Dion , Brian Adams and Shania Twain, they do fit in the weapon of mass destruction cathegory ....

On the plus side this judgment does set a precedent and i hope more contries will follow the example and impose uppon the record industry the burden of the proof.
