Vanessa-Mae is my absolute favourite, but I have a very diverse taste when it comes to music.

I like classicla music in general, but espacially music by Russian c;assicla music. Composers like Tchaikovski, Mussorgsky, Sjostacovich and Rachmaninov are some that I really like.

I also like Jazz music. Espacially trumpet and saxophone pieces.

Among pop musc, some of my favourites are:

Andreas Vollenweider (harpist)
Genesis
Rolling Stones
The Beatles
Lenny Kravitz
Dire Straits
The Doors
Lauryn Hill

And many more.

Well I guess I don't have to say which is my favorite, you already know that!
But from others (I like various music, sometimes it depends on my mood):
I am kind a big fan of Corrs (there we can also hear some violin by Sharon)
Bond (Btw their new album "Shine" is released in Japan this week and in Europe next week!!)
Else - Michelle Branch, Incubus, Puddle Of Mudd, Chili Peppers (their new album is awesome), also I like some soundtrack music (by Tan Dun), U2, Avril Lavigne....lots of music....My brother loves rock and hardrock so I cannot escape from Limp Bizkit, POD, Linkin Park, Korn and Slipknot (they're so loud), but I don't have problems with this kind of music (well maybe some times with Slipknot - too much for me :)), I can't stand hard-dance, rave...whatever (these manly European underground dj sounds I cannot name it as music :))

Yeah Kevin, our choices are pretty similar. Shine is already out, so I'm sure I will buy it, I wanna hear their new songs, I saw a video of shine - must say that it's quite good song, will see what's on the album.

When my wife isn't playing her modern country CD's (of which I prefer McGraw, Chesney, McBride and Twain); I either listen to Enya or late-70's early-80's pop (Kansas, Journey, Benatar, and everything similar).

Funny, one band that I keep hearing the name of, but never actually heard a song from, is not listed here ... Creed.

Creed is okay, their most recent release is ok. But after a while, all their songs begin to sound the same.

Googoo Dolls
Sarah McLachlan
Bond
Kylie Minogue
Oasis
Travis
Enigma
Raul di Blasio
Rachmanninov
Good Charlotte

To name a few

thanks for your replies, it's funny to see what diffrent styles of music the others like !

mike oldfield is very good, his lps tabular bells are great.
rock music is also very well but sometimes there are some bands who are really bad...i don't want to say names... :D

rachmanninov is fantastic, e.g. i heared a piece of him ,which was called "vocalise". i saw it on arte and maxim vengerov played it (of course wonderful).
just try to discover the beauty of music !
