While searching around, I found another little tid-bit about Vanessa-Mae's
"Superstition" concerning water on the floor.
As we have heard before, She will spill fresh water on the floor, before leaving the dressing room, and then walk over it on the way to the stage to preform. Vanessa says, this brings good luck. But I just found , She also says that if you look back after doing this, then you will have bad luck.
Now I know that my wife; who also is Asian; has various good luck, bad luck things too. So I do not find this unusual. To me this only helps make her character.
