Hello Girls and Boys,
I just received this new violin book today to add to my music library.
It's title is "A Social History of the World's Most Versatile Instrument, the Violin".
Published by W W Norton & Company, 2013. Author David Schoenbaum. 710 pages,
16 pages of illustrations.\
Vanessa-Mae is mentioned in three separate places.
But I would not purchase it if you are looking for a lot of Vanessa-Mae information.
Purchase it only if you are serious about the violin and its history.

Re: RE: NEW VIOLIN BOOK
Xanthippe,
The book mentions Vanessa-Mae regarding the theft of her Gaudanini.
The fortune she has made with her pioneering crossover music.
Also that she is a global crossover star and has appeared in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel adds, especially the one wearing the plaid jacket with her violin under her arm. As they say her expression seems
to say, "I've made it, how about you?"
