Does anyone think that White Bird is a metaphor for the releationship VM had with her mother and not being abl to be free and 'fly'.

Or have I missed the point

Also what do you think is VM's best vocal performance. Mine is Love is Only a Game, though I think her voice sounds better on I feel Love.

The most interesting vocal piece of Vanessa-Mae is in my opinion 'I Am A Doun.' But I like her voice very much in 'I Feel Love.' This is a real powerful vocal achievement of Vanessa-Mae: in my opinion her best.

I too like 'Love Is Only A Game.' I think this is really a funny song and her voice sounds so cute and nice.

Vanessa-Mae also conveys feelings of love and appreciation in 'Jamais' very well. She sings it very well with the voice of a happy person 'in love:' as she is herself!!

I think 'white bird' has autobiographical elements. But Vanessa-Mae thinks with much more sense of perspective about her youth and her relation with her mother than the song perhaps suggests. I am sure about that. I like the song, and I like to hear her sing it.

In my opinion Vanessa-Mae has made a very keen selection of songs that suit her limited voice and vocal capacities very well. She doesn't overestimate herself in this. She is singing the right songs for her voice.

This surgests that the StC album is about her ups and downs through life.

Actually I forgot about the song at the start of I'm a Doun! But then I don't think of I'M a Doun as a vocal piece in the sense the others are. Just my opinion though!

I think on I feel Love VM sounds better then Charlotte Church on Brave New World

I have this Mirror article myself. It is quite good!

However, Vanessa-Mae has always said that her words have been misinterpretated by the media so often, that she finds it necessary to tell her story in her own words in her forthcoming autobiography.

I am very curious what she will tell us aobut her relation with her mother. Moreover, it will be interesting to read her experiences about becoming a world superstar so suddenly at aged 15-16. Imagine the changes in her life in this. The impact this all had on such a young girl.

It is really amazing to me the way Vanessa-Mae was able to cope with all this. That she stayed so balanced and right-minded. She is absolutely an extraordinary girl.

Yes, When I first heard Vanessa singing it my immediate thought was that it was a metaphor for Vanessa and her managements (Mel & her Mother Pamela) relationship.

Some little parts in the "Love is only a game" lyric are different from the song... Check the this with STC...

I`m a-doun for lack o`johnnie, Is one of my favorites at the moment .
I dont know if that has anything to do my being born in Scotland.
I didnt realise that it was Vanessa Mae that was the doing the vocals.

Vanessa was holding her T-Shapei between her arms while experimenting with her camcQhrder. Suddenly he became an inspectQhr thinking about some investigations for EMI-records. The obvious tragic of an office-worker - he MUST fly. It would be saver, to take the ariane4 proposed an aligatQhr, so he decided to remain in the cage of the office thinking about some investigation and LETS fly. Good luck White Bird.
