Rijko,

Elegy is available @ Amazon.co.uk
She's not our Vaness-Mae but I think that it is a excellent
album, especially to chill out and relax to.
I recommend it.

Thanks Arioch,

I think I need to hear the album first before ordering it. I'll wait untill its release here in my country.

I bought three cds today. First the Nora Jones 'Come Away With Me' cd. An excellent album!! Those Grammy Awards for Nora are absolutely correct.

The other two cd's that I bought are classical albums of female violinists. I bought Hillary Hahn for the Shostacovich violin concerto. I have yet to listen to this cd.

Finally, I bought Kyung Wha Chung's album with violin concertos of Mendelssohn and Bruch. On the album is also Bruch's Scottish Fantasy. This piece makes a comparison with our Vanessa-Mae's version interesting. I will post on that later.

Diana Yukawa's career is in serious trouble.

Apparently the Violin that she uses a Guarneri Del Gesu, rarer than a Stradivarius and worth £2.4 million was lent to her, and the owner has decided to put it up for sale.

Here is a link to the story:
Talented musician faces career crisis

Does anyone know if Diana got to keep the Violin?

Looking at her career prospects, Diana should be able to raise money via sponsors or loans from a bank.

Thanks Rijko,

I also would of thought that Diana would have had no trouble at raising the money to use as a deposit, I also can not believe that she is having difficulty in finding a sponsor.

Thank you loverly Glenn,

I have also e-mailed Diana with my concerns, it would be such
a shame if she has lost her pride and joy.
