Raised in the USA here by parents also raised in the USA.

In short ... English only.

I've taken courses in French from preschool to high school to college (even got an A grade there). I still can't speak a word of it.

Hmmm.

Joe Mate
Born, Currently, and Usually In: Great Lakes Region, USA
Age: 38 now, 39 before the end of this year
Food: Japanese, Italian; but Chinese doesn't go well ???
Music: 80's
Actor/Actress: Bruce Willis/Whoopi Goldberg
Violin: Anything I can rent cheap for my son
Shampoo: Doesn't really apply too much for me. :p
Computer: I assemble my own
Day: Sunday (currently my only day off work)
Month: October
Drink: Canadian beer
Dream: self-employment, watch VM in concert

First Concert: Bobby Sherman (Northampton/Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio)
*** my older sister had our parents take us ***
Within a few minutes, girls rushed the stage, ripped his shirt; he refused to come back on stage for about 20 minutes.

Last Concert: Bering Strait (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio)
Best free concert I've been too. In fact better than some paid concerts I've been to.

Best Concerts: John Mellencamp (Northhampton and Richfield, Ohio)
The first concert he was the opening act, and outperformed the main act (Heart)
The second concert he was the main act, but 20 seconds into a song, he had to stop and talk to a band member. He then addressed the audience, apologizing for forgetting the lyrics of the song they were playing.

Best Moment: Chris Cagle (Detroit, Michigan)
Following his performance, we awaited the next artist. We were in the front row of the lower lever (standing a few feet back). Chris walked by shaking the crowds hands (we weren't expecting him). He stopped, came back to us, just to talk to my youngest son for about 30 seconds.

Times seen VM in concert: none :bsad:
