I watched this horror film last night, set in Hong Kong, about a woman who regains her sight and sees ghost. Verrrrrry creepy. The woman, despite being tone deaf, plays violin in an orchestra for the blind.
During one scene, the conductor announces that Vanessa-Mae is going to be joining them for their Christmas concert. Later, an assistant runs in to tell the conductor that Vanessa-Mae's agent wants him to FAX the schedule. For a moment I thought maybe she'd do a cameo, but no such luck. I don't imagine they needed permission to use her name, but it would be funny if she's watching the movie and there's a reference to herself.
