The Michael Jackson Trial

Post by aventine »

I'm not sure on this one actually. He's weird alright. But then again, there's so much money in it for those accusing him...

Did anyone see that documentary? I'm kind of split, although it's hard to decide when you aren't present at the trial (oh wait, I could have seen it on E).

Did you know that apparently the boys parents have a long history
of embezzlement and blackmail, there is reports that they have
also previously made claims of this type before?
but then this is what the press is telling us!

Might as well toss in 'bad parenting'. What type of parents take their kids to Neverland after all the accusations against Michael Jackson over the past 12 years.

Parents: Guilty

Rule number one when dealing with kids that aren't your own. Never get in a position where you can be accused. Alway stay with other adults, and/or in public site, when kids are present.

Michael Jackson: Guilty

All white court finding Jackson guilty.
Michael Jackson: Acquitted during appeal process.

Firstly, I'd never let my kids sleep over at another adult's place full stop. It's not really like when your kids' friends invite them over for sleepovers... this is an ADULT inviting kids over for sleepovers... and even when kids invite kids over for sleepovers you have to make sure you can trust their parents.

There was a Law & Order episode awhile ago that I think was "ripped from the headlines" on this Jackson trial... in that episode, the parents actually knew the adult was a paedophile and they made a deal with them to let them molest their child in return for a whole lot of money. My point being that I agree with Joe and Arioch, the parents are definitely in a dodgy position...

I totally agree with Joe and aventine.

I can;t judge ove rwhat happened at neverland, but appearances are against MJ.

I thnk the jury will find him quilty. MJ commits suicide or he dies because of overdosing himself. I am sure he is heavenly on coke; that is wehre his nose problems come from.

Being a pedophile he would not survive prison life.

Rumor is that those who commit crimes against children tend to be attacked more by other inmates. Being a high profile celebrity, MJ would not be sentenced to a prison where others could attack him. He'd be place in a low security prison with non-violent criminals (similar to Martha Stewart's "Camp Cupcake").

Well it seems he's innocent! So do you guys think he just genuinely likes hanging out with kids (in an innocent sense) seeing he had lost his own childhood? BUT I surely hope he would refrain from dodgy acts like sharing a bed with children etc.

Also, what about all the previous acusations that had been settled outside the courtroom? Hmmmm...

If he had been found 'guilty' there would have been no money
to be made?
But now that he is found to be 'innocent' ? ? ? there is millions to
be made, Books, Tv interveiws news paper stories and much more.
Even the jury are cashing in on it with tv appearances and interveiws
for the news media and all within 24 hours of the verdict.

Sleeping with children?
even if it is a innocent bit of fun
If it was some body like us we would be locked up put on the sex
offenders list
and to top it off have our lives taken away from us.

Guilty!!!

I really don't know whether he is guilty or not. Based on what I've read about the case, it basically comes to the word of the boy against the word of MJ. That is too thin to send someone to prison for 20 years. That is the responsibility you have to face as jury member when you say: guilty. Guilty has to be beyond any reasonable doubt!
