RE: THE HEIGHT FACTOR

Well Girls & Boys,

While attending a dinner party in San Francisco, earlier this year. My daughter Kathleen, called my attention to one of her cousins, David Chin. He is an executive with a national hotel chain, working out of San Francisco. And as with many Asians, he is relatively shorter than most of his peers.

So; what my daughter pointed out; was that he has let the hair on top of his head grow longer and combs it up into a pompadour, to look taller.

Now this made me think of our Vanessa-Mae and the height issue with her. Being only 5'3" tall,(My wife is 5'4"). Vanessa seems to have a desire to appear taller.

I, personally, like the "Teeny Paganini" just as she is naturally. I think it makes her performances that much more powerful, coming from such a tiny artiste, as she.

Sometime after Vanessa turned professional, She started appearing in low-quarters with extra thick soles such as this pair:

She also started to wear "Doc Martens" and other boots:

And then, as she matured, she now appears exclusively in very attractive high-heels:

But there was a time when; as Xanthippe remarked; she must have broken the heel on one of her shoes, because she preformed barefoot, as seen here:

Thanks for your opinion.Her legs are very beautiful.I like photos where Vanessa-Mae wears ''Doc Martens'' ''shoes-1'' and then ''shoes-3'',''shoes-9'' and barefoot.You can see, that a lot of training in skiing made Her legs very strong,you can see this from photo ''shoes-3''.In general,She really is little,but I don't see this from photos,I always thought She is taller.So,Her height is about 159-160cm(5'3''),right ?
By the way,Vanessa-Mae is very strong,if She pratices a 8 hours in skiing in a day !!! From where She gets so much energy ?! Our lovely Vanessa-Mae.

Yes,now it's obvious.But I really thought that others maybe taller and vanessa-Mae is over 5'5'' at least..

The event was a lunch and fashion show to raise funds for Action For Children and it took place on March 13 of 2009 at the Mandarin Hotel in London.

I think Vanessa-Mae is slightly over 1.60m, perhaps 1.62m. She stood next to me at the signing session in London, October 2004. I am about 1.74-1.75 and Vanessa-Mae is a head shorter than me.

BTW, I took the high heels that she had in consideration.
