I have this cd of Kyung Wha Chung. Her version of the Scottish Fantasy is more ponderous than Vanessa-Mae's interpretation.

Both are very good and I think it depends on your mood which is preferred at a specific time or occasion.

Anyway, I am always in the mood for listening to and enjoy hearing our Vanessa-Mae.

LOL ... i just had an event like that myslef...

I got my hands on some recording of the 4 seasons by Yehudi Menuhin (the best violin player of the 20th century) and was utterly desapointed. Kept expeting some attacks, transition , vibratto .. .... .... that never came... To the point i had to stop listening to it and put VM version on.

P.S. His version of paganini's campanella is out of this world ...

Paganini's campanella? I have been meaning to get a copy of that
for some time
I think that i will have to move it up to the top of me 'to buy' list.

Joe i will see what I can do for you, what is the MAX size of
the file that you can handle?

If ya wanna check out Menuhin i can send ya the Violin Concerto No.2 in B minor Rondo (La Campanella) ... its a 1961 recording so there is some background noise, but his playing is worth it... His Saint-Saens stuff is also pretty neat... As well as some stuff by Elgar and Bartok which where composed especially for him.

Just gimme a shout if ya want to check it out.

Well... preferably 3 to 5 MB, I guess. I don't know the song length; so the answer may be a lower playback rate or just a clip of the song.
