it seems that mostly adults like Vanessa-Mae. I am only 14 and I feel like I am the only minor in the entire forum. I thought more people my age enjoyed Vanessa-Mae's music.

Hey, I'm still a kid at 17, and I'm pretty sure I got into VM's music when I was about 12-ish?

Any ideas for a campaign to recruit younger members? lol.

Hi C.L.U.C.K

I don't know what you mean
I'm 36 and I'm still a kid :D

We seem to have attracted many new members in the
last few months.
And you seem to be the only 'New' member to have made an
entry in your profile?
So who knows we probably have a few more members around
your age.

I think I can speak for the majority of the members.
So What if you are the youngest member, you should be proud.
Your not an oldie like every one else (me excluded) :D
All that counts is that you are a part of our Forum, a part of our
family :grouphug: united by one common interest..
The Beautiful Vanessa-Mae.

And we must not forget the loverly Aventine
for the creation of our little (but growing) community

(sorry ... off topic)

사랑*안녕*행복
Rats! can't post Korean letters (Han'gul?) here!

Love * Goodbye * happiness
(Babelfish in action, but possibly wrong translation)

any comments on the signature?

....

Also ... how did you get Korean letters in your signature? I tried "Chen Mei" but received a similar result to what you see above. :paeek:

er, never mind ... I guess the signature now supports it.

.....

<span style='font-family:Lucida Sans Unicode'>陳美</span>

(but not here though)

.....

BTW, I've specified font=Lucida Sans Unicode (in brackets) prior to adding the Chen Mei in my signature. The Lucida Sans should be optional.

You can try Babelfish Altavista or Sino Net. Type in English, translate to Chinese.

I was able to type it in because I had Korean IME on my computer. it can be downloaded at microsoft.com. as for my signature, the romanization is "sarang*annyoung*haengbok" which means "love*peace*happiness" :)

Well, that clears up a lot of questions (about the goodbye part at least).

OK, I don't speak Korean ... except for a few words spoken when my oldest son was in Tae Kwon Do. I have Korean fonts on my PC because of a Korean fan's Vanessa-Mae web site. This is why I initially guessed Korean for your signature. If you do speak Korean, can you explain any translation differences between Babelfish's stating yours said "Goodbye" (that is, maybe they are wrong, or maybe there are words that similar)? I've temporarily attached Babelfish's "Peace" to my signature.

Glenn, feel free to step in and comment too! I saw your comments elsewhere and I am not completely familiar with all languages you have knowledge of. :;):

yes, it says "annyoung" means "goodbye", but I think that's because "annyoung" is an informal way of greeting someone. I dunno about saying goodbye, though. and I'm not sure what "pyounghwa" means. never heard it before.

I'm 15, and I first heard her one of her songs when I was like 14 in one of Mike Z's MvC2 videos, and I loved the song ever since. 'Red Hot' brings back really good memories and feelings about my life so far. :)
