Ar rahman is composing a song for vanessa - Could this be a clue for the new album?

New CD releases, TV appearances, articles, tourdates etc.

Hey, wonderful news. I've never actually heard anything by this composer before, but hopefully Indian sounds will be a main element in his compositions, as I'd love to hear even more diversity from VM. :)

AR RAHMAN
India's Greatest composer
he has and does the music for all of the
major Indian Bollywood Movies.

I so hope that Noodles new album has a
Bollywood theme or sound, this will make
it a very innovative album.

Ps.

Welcome back Aventine, hope that you are well?

I've heard much about these "Bollywood" movies, but have never seen any. Any good recommendations of a particular movie with good soundtrack by this composer?

Arioch, I've pretty much been a lurker for the past few months. But University is keeping me busy, and so far I am having a good year. I'm really glad to see that the forum is always lively whenever I visit. :D

If you want to see and hear some typical and good AR Rahman stuff, Bollywood Dreams the musical and Lagaan which is a period movie and the movie was also nominated for an Oscar and Bafta.

Welcome to the Forum Tej
thank you for the info, it is much apreciated.

Bollywood-mania

Brum (Birmingham, UK) is going Bollywood
barmy this week with the sellout visit
of Indian movie composer Ar Rahman.
He will conduct the City of Birmingham
Symphony Orchestra
(CBSO) as they
play his film scores as part of the CBSO's
Classic Asia series.

Hmmm!
I wonder if our Noodles (Vanessa-Mae)
will make an appearance?
