Pamela & Vasko: world Classics

Post by Xanthippe »

Pamela really seems to get it going in aiming for her own career after the spilt as manager of her daughter Vanessa-Mae. See this video for a project that she is doing with Vasko Vasilev:

Oh my God! She seems crazy!! and looks like shes trying to regain what she lost with VM. Did you see the tocatta and fugue that he did on the electric violin?

Well, it ias really not bad and I think that it would be nice attending a performance and have a wonderful evening, but it lacks the authenticity that an artist like Vanessa-Mae has, imo! Vanessa-Mae is unique and Pamela and Vasko are simple are not at this performance.

Interesting!

I liked some of the things they played (I watched up to 2:30). It seems like the two make an interesting combination. I however, did not like the Toccata and Fugue. That sounds like a cheap version of Vanessa's. I also hated the fact that the opening was played THREE times. It just got tedious! But they actualyl looked interesting (I would have seen more but my bandwith is rubbish).

It's not bad at all. Obviously they can both play very well and the arrangements are interesting. I like how Pamela mixes grand piano and electronic keyboards, and I like the big variety of backing musicians they have.

I think Pamela should stop dressing like a 16-year-old, though. How many times does she change costumes in one concert? eight?

Would I go and see them? Maybe, maybe not. But I wish them success, they deserve it :)

I just dont know why she wont make up with Vanessa. I mean come on - they make a great couple! Even if she isnt her manager, they could still play together from time to time.
