Well Boys And Girls,

I have always been fascinated with the way people play various instruments. The piano, harp, organ, various horns, drums, etc. And of course most important to US, the VIOLIN !

It is all in the finger movements, ( and bowing of course ), but I really enjoy watching the hands of an Artist as they play.

Now take our Favorite Artist; VANESSA-MAE, for example. There is nothing finer and more thrilling than watching her play any one of her violins. The way she fingers the strings is amazing! When you consider how hard the violin is to play; ( see my post on the difficulty of the violin ). To watch her left hand and especially the little finger, ( the pinkie ), as it does it's work is beautiful.

I love listening to her CD's. They are very enjoyable, but there is nothing like watching ANY of her video's. Then I can SEE her play, plus hear the music! It is the whole experience of her playing, especially the sight of her hands doing the work of such magnitude and beauty!

The next time you see her play, watch the left hand. IT should amaze you....it does me! The real love and beauty of music is right there!

Carroll,I absolutely agree with you! Her fingers are amazing! I always looking at her hands when she plays.She is good example and I can learn from her! Violin is not easy intstrument to play.But she moves her fingers so easy.By the way,I am musician also.I playing other great string instrument Violoncello or Cello!!! I am so happy that I play Cello! Cello is like big sister of Violin! Both string instruments!!! And I feeling like a little brother of big sister Vanessa Mae!
