RE: What I Want To Be When I Grow Up.

At the age of eight, Vanessa-Mae decided what was going to be her profession in life. Previously she had thought about becoming a Veterinarian, Zoo Keeper, Ski Instructor, or a Lawyer like her parents.

Are we not glad and happy she chose Music and the Violin instead? Just think what we and the world would have missed! Music would have been less spectacular and the Violin would still be waiting to break out of the classical mold.

God was smiling on her and us when Vanessa-Mae at the young age of eight, chose the Violin over the others! I can not imagine the world without the music of Vanessa-Mae...can you?

Funny, we asked last year if she could imagine an equally successful career as pianist

Vanessa-Mae's answer was:

'I think I would have had the same success but certainly not the
same physical freedom on stage.'

I think she is quite a confident and multi-talented lady. She has a lot of dedication and I am sure that Vanessa-Mae would be successful with whatever choice she would make as her career.

Multi-talented, yes! I remember a few months ago, after discovering her, that I heard her sing. I had to look twice to be sure it was her. She has such a sweet, soft singing voice.

It is true, she would be a success at anything she did. But I am glad she chose Music and the Violin.
