RE: Where Were You On THE Day?

Well Boys & Girls,

While at work this evening, a thought struck me as I was thinking about Vanessa-Mae, (What else?). The question that I posed to myself was, "Where was I on October 27, 1978?"

Now, unlike many, I can say with certainty where I was. You see I have kept a time book for each year that I have been employed by the Railroad, going on 48 years now! So I know it was a Friday, and I was working "2nd Trick" (3-11 pm) at Carroll Tower, telegraph call letters "CX".....Say! Thats me!.....handling lots of Passenger, Freight, Yard and Transfer Drags through the busiest part of Baltimore City, Maryland. I also know that my Train Dispatcher that day was Wm. B Blair, Sr.

Of course I was totally unaware of the Momentous Occasion that was happening on the other side of the Earth! For that was THE day that God Blessed the World with the Advent of the Child Prodigy,Mistress Vanessa Mae Vanakorn! She was brought into this World to give us the Gift of Her wonderful talent. Her beautiful music. Her gentle and gracious personality. And Her lovely Countenance!

Few lovers of beautiful music and prodigious talent could ask for more.

So, you see, I know where I was and what I was doing on that Very Special Day.........Do YOU?

May Miss Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson live a long and Happy Life. May the Years treat Her Kindly!
