The concert organizer stated that they could not reach an agreement with Vanessa-Mae's agent about contract details and as a result they had to cancel the concert. Money for the sold tickets will be refunded.

Xanthippe,

Well I am glad that it was a management, concert organizer problem and that Vanessa is still in good health.

Indeed happy that Vanessa-Mae is ok. But now a lot of people who bought the tickets don't get the money back. Anyone here on this forum too? Werocku seems to be bankrupt soon. Anyone who did not get money back, please report!

I received my money around April 24, so already a few weeks back. I know that others did not get a refund, unfortunately.

I also received information that Werocku is bankrupt now.

Xanthippe,

I am glad to hear you received a refund. I hope this affair will not reflect Vanessa-Mae adversely.

So lucky you, did you did something special to get the money back? Or just sending back the tickets?

I just returned my ticket immediately after I read the news about the concert being canceled. Maybe, Werocku refunded in the order of receiving the returned tickets? At a certain moment, they ran out of money, of course, and went bankrupt.

The concert has been cancelled, I returned my tickets immediately, but did not get my money back from the organization - We Rock U BV! I have been chasing my €181,50 since March 2011 and I just discovered yesterday that the organization got bankrupt! I believe I won't get the refund anymore.

I'm very disappointed, b/c I bought the tickets as a surprise for my little sister, who plays the violin herself and Vanessa Mae is her idol (mine too, by the way!)

Yes, I agree it is very disappointingly. This would have been the first time since 1998 that Vanessa-Mae would visit our country to do a concert. I think the prospects for an other concert are very limited now, at least for the short time.

ya definitely this time concert has changed due to short of time. Otherwise there is not reason of cancelling.

Concert is canceled because the organiser seems to be on purpose taking risks and cheating VM fans

The concert organizer is bankrupt now. I read this week that he went bankrupt before. He just went through and finished a debt restructuring program, and then started a new company that appeared now to be very short lived. Probable, he used the money from the tickets that he had sold for other purposes. So at the moment everything went wrong, he simple had no money to refund all who had bought a ticket.

Also what came out was that the venue asked for as guarantee that the concert would go through. When he was not able to give that guarantee, the venue assumed that there would not be any concert. However, the concert organizer did not immediately notify the ticket holders and media that the concert was off.
