While looking through my new collection of Vanessa-Mae photos, I ran across this. I waited until this morning to see if any one here could do this. No one could. The only one I know of who might be able to do this is my daughter in San Francisco. She is double jointed in her hands. See if you can do this.

Now this is of course Vanessa-Mae. She must have very flexible and limber hands, from her years of training and playing the violin. It seems that when she posed for this photo she placed her hand in this position with ease and naturally, and with no discomfort.
I am unable to duplicate this. It is impossible to have my arm and the palm of my hand vertical with the thumb straight down and the fingers bent 90 degrees the wrong way!
Can any of you do this?
