Hi! I hope everyone is OK.
I can’t believe it! I saw Vanessa Mae on TV, but not during an interview. She was ACTING in a movie!!!!
Last night there was a movie called ‘1000+1 nights’. It is about a girl who tells stories to the Sultan because he sees nightmares. The stories are about Ali Baba, Alladin…
In the story of Alladin Vanessa Mae has the role of princess Zobaida who falls in love with Alladin and after a lot of adventures with the help of a jinn, they live happily for the rest of their lives.
That story is taking part in ancient China because somehow is related with the ancient army that was found in Xian where Alladin found the magic oil lamp.
The role of Vanessa lasts about 30min and sometime she is playing that Chinese violin called erhu.
Of course her beauty is breathtaking one more time!!!!!!!!
Does anyone knows more about that??
Thanks………!

Hi pengyio

This movie Arabian Nights was shot late 1999. It represented Vanessa-Mae's debut as an actress. Later, she declared that acting was not a big deal, but that she was not pleased by all the in betweens during the shootings, because it wasn't possible to do anything meaningfiul in all the lost time.

This made her say that she is not really interested in another role as actress. According to rumours, Vanessa-Mae turned down in 2000 an offer to play in a movie of Stephen Spielberg.

Anyway, I think Vanessa-Mae did a good job in her debut role as princess Zobeide. Afterall, she is almost like a Chinese princess herself.

The movie is available as video tape and DVD via wwwa.amazon.com.

Thanks for all the details Rijko Ebens. i didn't know about that because here in Greece we watch the movies in TV 2 or 3 years later . Anyway.
Thanks a lot for your time and you're right: SHE is a princess already. SHE doesn't need to conquer the movie-world since SHE has already conquered our hearts!
CU!!!
