Now my Uk copy of "S,t,C" has 12 tracks but there is 13.
The 13th track is a hidden track, which is connected to the end of track 12 "Jamais" and comes in aprox' 1.5 mins after track 12 has Finished! It a little gimmick that Robbie Williams started with his first album then his second, now it's become a trend. No lets say Hip?
As for track 14 ???
Glenn, Rijko, anyone,
It's over to you!

I think we had such a remark before about the Mexican release with 14 tracks.
As I recall correctly, 'Art of War' (Power of C) was also included on the Mexiacan release. Is this correct Alberto?
I possess a EMI demo STC cd for internal use only that also has 'Art of War' on it. I have no idea why this track is also on the Mexican release. This is rather strange because Vanessa-Mae deliberately omitted this piece on the regular releases. Maybe someone at EMI Mexico made a stupid mistake.

Im from mexico...
OJO, Mucho OJO

In resume for the English speakers, with the other opinions in the topic i finalized that: the album "Subject to Change" honored its name, or you have any other explication?
Hola,
The Mexican release has 14 Tracks, as the CD was intended to be released. The extra track is "Art of War" which was removed from the shipping releases of everyone except Mexico (and maybe South America).
All of the other CD's have 13 tracks. But the last track, "Tourmaline", is not listed so the liner notes only list 12 tracks. This 13th track is being called a hidden track (a fairly new record industry gimmick). It begins after about 30 seconds of silence after track 12.
Regarding why "AoW" was left off is only a guess. Vanessa says, in jest, it was because people will get tired of Vanessa with so much on a CD. My guess is that EMI Mexico never got the word on what the final release was to go out as and went with what they were told earlier. The version the rest of the world has was finalized very late.

Art of War would have been the only track on the album that was based on a classical theme. all other songs were modern compositions written by Vanessa-Mae in coperation with Youth. Using classical themes was a concept that Vanessa-Mae wanted to leave behind her. She has said something on this somewhere. I think that this was the main reason to skip Art of War from the final album.
I have no idea why Art of War is on the Mexican release. Glenn's explanation sounds reasonable to me.
I have one question for Machalita and Alberto. Can you both read on the cd or in the booklet where it has been printed?
