Oooohh okay thats taken my mind off things a bit.
is she actually wearing anything on the bottom half ? :O

I do not like these "hipsters" on woman, they are very unflattering and too ugly call me old fashioned, besides why is that so many who wear them are often many kilos overweight...YUK :-)

ooh watch out that will prbably start another whiner off !

Ian, when i mentioned the thing about the censors...I WAS AGREEING WITH YOU.

also, I hope you aren't including me in this Kiss A$$ group that you speak of, because it is a usual thing that my opinions contradict others in the forum. (which is why its a forum)

I dont try to be "popular" on the forum, what would that gain me...the admiration of people that...HAVE NO AFFECT ON MY LIFE ???

and Rijko, i hate that pic of vanessa, i think she looks anerexic (just my opinion)

Well Kevin,

Our Vanessa-Mae is a very skinny girl, but to call it anerexic is quite an exaggeration in my opnion.

I agree that there are a lot of photos that show her beauty better, but i like this picture for the expression of joy and excitement on her face. Her whole body language shouts it out that she is having fun!!

Kev, no sweatI meant that bit tounge in cheeck anyway :D

I don't think she looks anorexic though but she is as Rijko says a very slender little thing and very find looking gal to go with it too, the way I like them i guess sweet, petite and asian...yeeehhaarrgghhh !!!

by the way how is it that the most knowledgable VM guru on here does not have a domain or site ?, RIJKO !, I have often wondered why you don;t have a rijko site !

We should keep in mind that photography freezes all face expressions, body characteristics, muscles, bones etc. Even the most beautiful people don't always look at their best. That is the finest thing with photos. At these moments, photos show emotions and feelings of people.

That is way I like this particular photo. On this photo, Vanessa-Mae shows that she is happy, because the audience is happy with her performance and is giving her an ovation. It is almost a sanctifying moment for her.

Ian,

I simply didn't have the time to design my own Vanessa-Mae website up till now. Maybe I can find some time to create one later this year.

Well I think that VM fans would benfit from your knowledge and commitment , you are welcome to the chenmei domain name if you wish to setup a VM site using it, let me know if you want it and I will sign it over to you as a gift, this would be for you to use as a VM site and preferably not to give away to any old so and so.

Theres no point in sitting on it if it can be used by someone who is willing to put the work into it, and knowing your level of "enthusiasm" it would be a #### of a site I am sure.

Ian,

Many thanks for your confidence in me and also thanks for the offer to pass the Chen Mei domain.

However, I have a Vanessa-Mae domain already.

If I ever find the time to create my own Vanessa-Mae website then it will be completely different ftor the usual site. My site will not primarily provide the basic information on Vanessa-Mae, that can be found on so many other sites. My site will foremost express why I am a devoted fan and what kind of emotions her music and personality evoke in me.

Don't expect the launch too soon. Actually, it may never come to that at all. These are just basic ideas and plans and I still have to find the time to work it all out.

Ian,

Why don't you try to sell your domain via www.ebay.com?

Firstly may I say:
Rijko I hope that you do get your site up and running.
What I can tell. Your devotion to Vanessa is immense, I believe that this is something that you should do.
A lot of my friends do not understand Why i am so infatuated with Vanessa-Mae.
Our Vanessa probably doesn't understand our reasons?
Your site would help people out there understand how not only you! but the rest of Vanessa-Mae's devoted Fans Tick!
So I say go-on do it..

Ian,
I hope that your Domain goes to the right person.
--------------------------------------------------

Secondly going back to Rijko's post: Jan. 20 2003,20:23

I completely agree with you.
Has a photographer I have learned from previous attemps of
shooting my cousin's band, that this shot is very difficult to capture.
To capture this moment in time is pure skill with luck thrown in. For the photographer to go out and get this shot, he/she has to be (at all times) two steps in front of the artiste.
As a photographer you must have a good idea of what the artiste is going to do before the artiste does.
Like Rijko as said "it is a moment".
If the photographer had blinked, that moment would have been lost forever?
I like the photo only for these reasons and they are:

the immense power of the shot is incredible.
It shows the love and feeling that Vanessa puts into her music.
It captures the buzz that she gets from performing.
This shot is pure emotion.

Just imagine if you had taken your camera to a live gig how many shots would you have taken?
10? 20? 36?

Now a pro photographer?
5 - 10 (maybe more), not shots were talking rolls of film. Thats 180 - 360 shots, and that is to make sure that, that perfect moment in time is captured.

Cracking shot!

It is easy to criticise a shot.
But would any of you have seen this moment?
Let alone to have got it on film.

Its just the editing I Disagree with.
But for the Power and EMOTION of this shot I'm with Rijko all the way.

Arioch,

Our Vanessa-Mae knows about this forum and our joined devotion to her! Whether she understands our motives, remains the bid question!! But I think that it make sher feel good and thankful to have our love and support.

About my possible site! I have really no idea about the time schedule for its realisation.

I completely agree with you that it is really difficult to make this one shot of an artist during a concert. Onlty highly skilled photographers are able to foresse these special moments and be ready for it with their camera and equipment.
