We are not entirely sure If Vanessa-Mae has actually left EMI
and gone to a new label.
We have been (well i have) unsucessful on finding anything
about such a move...
I think Rijko or Glenn might know somethingon this matter...

I called the publicist at EMI, she is definitely gone. And because of that EMI is not supposed to reveal where has she gone and what is she doing.

Atre,
I agree with you we do need a second source to confirm if
Vanessa-Mae has left EMI and moved to a NEW label???

I so far have been unsuccessful in finding anything to confirm this,

I am awaiting to see if wuchenen sends me the contact
details so that I can make an enquiry.

I don't know if you remember but there were rumors that the producer of her next album would be Rob Dickins.
Rob Dickins was the director of WEA uk. But something happened...................Rob Dickins Left WEA in 1999 (I know why but I can't tell due to privacy matters) and founded a new record company....Mabye she is signed to that mysterious Rob Dickins company.......

If so, maybe a new age album will be in the future too.

Hummm ... I m not sure if that would be good or bad... A new young lable might be more progressive and willing to try out things...

But would they have the financial backbone to sustain her? Studio time aint cheap and we havent even began talking about tours, publicity and various support activities (like a web site).

Working in the dot com world for a few years i can already give ya numbers for commercial web development. A cheap but decent site cost on avrage 100k US ... And for E-commerce / M-commerce sites , well ... sky is the limit, personally I ve worked a site with a budget in excess of 27 millions, and that does not include operating cost.

So I think the financial strenght of the lable is VERY important for her development and entry to new markets.

Rob Dickins is the producer of Vanessa-Mae's new album. See the article and interview in Classic FM Magazine of April 2003.

Does this new label of Dickins has a website? Maybe anything will be announced there.

I think Rob Dickens is ideal for our Vanessa.
they've worked together before, so they should now each
others limitations.

Rob Dickins is a highly respected Record producer, He recently
was awarded a CBE for his achievements in the music industry.

Not only has he worked with our girl.
Rob Dickins was exec' producer on Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells 3,
He also made Enya a top selling artist.

His Record label is Karma records inc.

Mr Rob Dickins
Rob Dickins is Chair of the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
He is a Trustee of the National Foundation for Youth Music
and a Trustee of the Brit Trust (the BPI's charitable arm for
Youth Music and Education). He has been a member of the
DCMS Music Industry Forum since February 1998. In February
1999 he set up his own entertainment company, Instant
Karma, based in the West End of London.

Mr Dickins has been a Trustee of the V&A since October 2000.

Arioch,

I think the web site is Instant Karma (but I couldn't find any VM info there).

From this site, it states:
Instant Karma 36 Sackville Street London W1S 3EQ T: +44 (0)20 7851 0900 W: www.instantkarma.co.uk Email Instant Karma

Delegates: Rob Dickins, Chairman | Peter Price, International

Instant Karma is run by Rob Dickens who has been heavily involved in the careers of Madness, Echo and the Bunnymen, Seal, Enya, Rod Stewart, The Corrs and Cher.

Instant Karma is an artist album based label developing original talent with a commercial edge and international appeal.
