VANESSA MAE The Ultimate (2003 UK 14-track CD album featuring classic recordings from 1995 to 2002 including live songs). ** released 01 September 2003 **

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec....9999806

here is the tracklisting:
1. Classical Gas (Single Version)
2. I Feel Love (Single Version)
3. Picante
4. Red Hot (Symphonic Mix)
5. Yantra
6. Power Of C
7. Leyenda
8. Cotton Eye Joe (Live)
9. (I) Can Can (You)
10. Widescreen
11. Night Flight
12. Toccata And Fugue In D Minor (Live Version)
13. Allegro (Spring - The Four Seasons Op 8 No 1)
14. Scherzo In C Minor For Violin & Piano

I personally find this a really strange move...it has no new songs and is like a B-Side greatest his or something filled with songs that did not make the best of ??? but it still doesn't have red hot though lol is it like a hated song or something/ :S

On a brighter note i found this auction on ebay, anyone know what the millionaires mix of destiny sound like?

Here's an Amazon link for those in the United States.

I can't find the tracklisting mentioned above.

All these 'Best of' cd's are more or less an easy way for a record company to make easy money. There are almost no costs for the production since all recording has already been done.

It would be interesting to see what kind of booklet goes with this 'Ultimate' cd.

I never heard odf the Destiny millionaires mix before. Maybe I will place a bid on this item.

I have heard of the "Millionaires Mix" and may even have it,.. but kaos rules currently and not sure where it might be. It was on one of the several international Destiny singles. If someone has a good mp3 encode (160+) of it or can make one they may drag it into the folder I linked in the other topic so we can all get a listen.

As for the second "Best of" type CD,.. which is very strange occurance to my thinking, hardly looks ultimate. Maybe this fullfills Vanessa contract with EMI.

As for her updated appearance on Germanys EMI site,.. maybe no one told them she's not with EMI,.. wouldn't surprise me. But also consider that EMI is made up of well over 100 record labels so something may come out on "Liberty Records", but that is still EMI.

tracklisting.

maybe it's kind of a marketing strategy to release this album. just in case the forthcoming classical album will flop(hopefully not), the pop album will save vanessa-mae. of course, classical albums don't sell as much as pop albums do.

Hmmm!

So another best of?
Going by this thread/post..
http://forum.vanessamae.org/cgi-bin....3;t=128

Does this mean that Vanessa-Mae is still with EMI?
or is EMI just simply cashing in on her before the release
of her new album on a different label?
When Vanessa releases her new album it will attract new
listeners therefore they will want to hear more.
So what do they do?
they go out and buy the Best of...

Once again this is typical EMI gag. They do this with all the artists they have dropped, and this is another easy way for them to make money. If you look at the price its slightly cheaper so I get the impression of a budget release. For me this looks betetr then the first album, I will get it!

arioch, we will never know whether vanessa-mae is still with EMI until a person who works for EMI or Vanessa-mae speaks.

you have a point d.trill. maybe EMI is doing some sort of a spring cleaning.
