Our Vanessa-Mae is the subject of a book in an academic series published by Oxford University Press. It can be ordered via amazon.co.uk. See:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec....8373401

I ordered the book already. It might be out of print this moment so it may take a while before I have it.

Of course I will post on this book as soon as I have it!

Over a 1000 posts?? It simply happens if you are an active member long enough. Thanks for noticing Glenn!!

Shipping outside the UK is expensive indeed. But then, the book is about our Vanessa-Mae!!

I'll post a report as soon as I have it.

I received the book 'Fireflies: Vanessa-Mae' yesterday.

The book contains some basic information on our Vanessa-Mae. Also some information on the violin is given in the book.

There are some very cute photos of vanessa-Mae in the book. I had seen them all before, though.

I scanned all the pages and combined the into three zip files.

Here are links to these files:

Fireflies1.zip

Fireflies2.zip

Fireflies3.zip

from the look of it, id say that book is made for thoes just learning to read that want to/are forced to play the violin/another instrument at a very young age. probabbly the first few years if school or something like that. its defenetly not ment for adults. (and the last page of the first zipped files gives it away) 'This book features these words/sounds:' .. etc :) well thats what i think anyway

thanks for that Rijko, and well done on the 1000+ posts

Atreides,
I also have obtained a copy of this book/booklet,

This book/booklet is in fact a part of the UK's Educational
program written by adults for young children
(ages 4 - 6 years)
This is book 8 out of a series of books with different subjects.

I have purchased this to be apart of my VM collection and
also because I am proud that our girl Vanessa-Mae has
been made a part of my country's Educational program.

That is so cool
