Most of you already know that next year will mark the 10th anniversary of Vanessa's wildly successful debut pop album, The Violin Player, and hence 10 years of Vanessa-Mae in the pop world.
Unfortunately, Vanessa is with Sony now, so I don't know what does that mean as far as playing any of her music from the previous albums.
If she can play her earlier music, this would be an ideal situation for her to finally make an impression in North America. I really believe that her 3 pop albums, if marketed correctly, could do very well here, and most importantly, lay the groundwork for Choreography and her future releases.
In addition to her Choreography Tracks, if there was a "10 year anniversary tour", she should play these tracks as well:
1. Contradanza
2. Hocus Pocus
3. Retro
4. Aurora
5. Clear Like Ice
6. I Can (Can You?)
7. I'm a Doun
8. Widescreen
9. Paganini's Caprice No. n24
10. Storm
11. Toccata and Fugue
12. Destiny
13. Red Hot (I think this should be reinstated as the closing anthem)
Music for Classical Break:
1. Brahm's Scherzo
2. Paganini's Moses Variation on a G String tuned up to a B Flat
3. Bach's Partitia Preludio in E
If Vanessa was do a classical tour concurrently, again, along with Choreography tracks I'd like for her to play:
1) Paganini's Concerto No 1 (never heard her play this, would love to though!)
2) Max Bruch's Scottish Fantasy
3) Butterfly Lover's Concerto
4) Storm (wouldn't it be wonderful if it was adapted for an entire Symphonic Orchestra)
5) Beethoven's Romance in F
6) Widescreen (she's played this with an orchestra before, and Im dying to hear it!)
7) Toccata and Fugue in D Minor
8) Red Hot Symphonic
Thoughts?
