Excellent exposure on the photos. Just curious what you were using. Digital or film?

(My family and I stayed in your hometown on a trip to Europe in 1973)

Hye tomm4004,

Groningen has changed enormously since your visit in 1973. I hope you enjoyed your stay overhere!

I used a normal film in a Minolta camera mounted with a 100-300mm zoom lens.

The photos of her concert in Zurich are very successfull. Live@sunset is an open air festival and the concerts takes place in the yard of the castle of 'Das Landes Museum.' there was plenty of light to facillitate good photography. The photos at her concert in Berlin are less successfull because the lights in the hall were dimmed.

I sure hope to make some wonderful photos again at her concert in the London Royal Festival Hall on October 21st. Of course, I'll make them available as soon as possible. I have bought a new digital camera with zoom lens.

I was a kid at the time but remember it vividly and we did have a very good time!

Even the Berlin scans are good. I actually like the close up of her even though it is blurry. Whether intentional or not, it has a neat, artistic feel to it. In the others, there's even detail in the black pants which is hard to get sometimes. It'll be interesting to see how the digitals compare. I love my digital but have not used it in any concert conditions. However, it is excellent at taking night photos. I stood in the middle of the Champs d'Elysees at night and got some excellent pictures. Good luck at the concert.
