Vanessa-Mae Collectables Whats Yours

Post by pongnok »

Well as the title suggests, what is your favuorite Vanessa-Mae collectable item or items. Mine is not very exciting but I love it. It is a signed set list fromt the Choreography show at the Royal Festival Hall in October last year.

There does not seem to be a lot of VM material around that is out of the ordianary. I look on ebay regulaly, but most items sold are not so rare. I would be interested to see what everyone else has.

Rieko, you must have a fantastic collection??

Hi pongnok,

Yes I have a very very large collection. Most interesting items are already listed on my website. To mention a few:

- Vanessa-Mae's 3 original 'kiddy' recordings released in 1991-1992 before she became a world-wide supperstar with the Violin Player
- The Mercedes 3 model present box (1999)
- Vanessa-Mae & ASEM(II) 2cd gold box
- An STC demo cd which includes 'Art Of War' that was later skipped on the released album
- several promo pre-releases and so-called advance listening cd's
- an 'Tour For Change' concert brochure that she was so kind to sign and sent to me on my special request in an evelop with her own hand writting
- a signed 'Choreography' cd received after her concert last October in London
- a collection of about 250-300 press photos
- all released cd-singles
- all bonus vds's, probably except one that was included in the Violin Player asia release (I am not absolutely sure whether this one actually exists!!??)
- 'Storm On World Tour' movie and 'The Alternative Classical Concert' (both only aired on television several times in 1998)
- several official record company promotion material, photos
- The photos that I shot myself at various occasions at her concerts

Perhaps these are the most rare items that I have. See my website for more details, or just ask here in this forum.

I feel very fortunate, grateful and often priviledged for some of the items. In particular the 'Tour For Change' brochure that Vanessa-Mae signed especially for me and sent it to my home address just for me alone, is very very close to my heart.

I am so grateful for that one; she did that just for me on my request.

Hmmm. How about exchanging posts with fans via various message boards since 1999?

If it has to be material, I would say I have yet to have one. Something to be autographed in the future.
