Montreal (my home town) is host each year to the world ultimate firework competition. The best pyrotechnic firms in the world come here to slug it out and try to go back home with the title.

This year, China's representative chose music from our Vanessa to support their firework display. The show began with Contradanza and Tocatta followed by chinese music and closed with Happy Valley.

The review where positive and the soundtrack was mentionned
Overall, then, a very powerful display with intense moments and moments of extreme serenity and beauty, really taking the audience on a ride through Hong Kong. The music was excellent, being largely unknown in the west and the finale piece was exquisite. A shame about the technical problem during the last minute of the display, but this didn't detract at all from an excellent entry in the competition
Needless to say I m trying to get my hand on a video of the display.

Even if they dont make it to the podium, I sure hope they win the best soundtrack prize :o)

The pyrotechnic competition ended tonight ... And china stepped on the podium.

They won 3rd place, eventought they had technical difficulties in the last 90 seconds of the show. According to the review the musical choice had to do with the overall quality and rating of their presentation ...

Helll yea since half of their 30 minuts show was on Vanessa's music :o)

There are short video clips on the site i gave previously, unfortunatly not with VM music :( ...

Atre.

P.S. check out canada's video (first place) its pretty groovy.
P.S.S. on the site they forgot to list Happy Valey on the soundrack listing.
P.S.S.S. if ya watch the video, press pause and let em Download, their site is mighty slow.

I always think of firework displays when I hear Happy Valley. I think it must be because of the re-unification thingy surrounding the tune.
