Surprise!.....I am sure this will not be what you expected. This post is about Vanessa-Mae's acoustic violin.
In the Finnish TV interview of 1997, Vanessa-Mae said in reference to her acoustic violin the following: " At the moment, I am very happy with the violin I have, which is called Guadagnini. HE was made a long time ago, in 1761, and I got HIM when I was 10. HE was my very first full size violin....."
She also referred to the violin as "my Gizmo".
So, it would seem, that "my Gizmo" is a MALE Violin! I think this is very interesting. You might say this is Vanessa-Mae's First boy-girl relationship
Remember, in the 1992 interview, when she was 13, she said "....but the violin, you can buy your own special one, and keep it with you all the time, and it is so intimate, that you just put it under your chin, and it's just like 'your baby'. So that's what I thought about it."
May she play HIM forever !

Maybe CarrollTowerCX! I can agree! I playing the cello and I feel the similar feeling,like Vanessa-Mae.I can say, that you can feel such relation with the instruments you are playing.I really feel this with my lovely cello-girlfriend that I have play now and instruments I've played before.Vanessa-Mae has not the only one but many violin boyfriends 
I really would like to try many instruments also,and electric cello would be interesting also 
Every cello or violin has unique sound and color and you immediatelly can enter into contact with violin or cello. In general it's really true, that you can feel something like..sex with your lovely instruments:cello,violin, others.. .Really;) Thanks for this theme!

Hello Raytac,
I am glad you liked the theme. When I heard the interview a few days ago the part about her violin really struck me. I thought it was very intriguing and very special. This is the stuff that makes Vanessa-Mae such a wonderful person and a someone to admire. To me it's the little things that really count.
