Here is a link to a photo that of Vanessa-Mae at her Victor Klemper awards performance on May 22nd 2001:

I uploaded the photo to the Yahoo club. I am trying to find the original link again. I must have saved the accompanying article.

Vanessa-Mae played classical music - see her dress, but I have no I idea exactly what pieces she did.

thanks rijko! that was the same dress she wore in Hello magazine 2001 right?

i remember someone telling that she played either 1812 or carmen fantasy. but i doubt if it's 1812 because it's arranged for an orchestra.

eva03,

that was indeed the same dress that she had for the Hello Magazine session in 2001.

I found the article in the German language again. It was only a short article, but unfortunately it is not available on the internet anymore.

It only said the Victor Klemperer (1881-1960) was the son of a jewish couple and that he had suffered severly form the Nazi terrior during the second world war. He wrote diaries during his entire life.

The awards are given in the field of tolerance and humanity for youthly people. Vanessa-Mae performed classical pieces with orchestra at the 2001 awards in Belrin. The rehearsal in London, and the event in Berlin were announced in the diary at www.vanessa-mae.com at that time.

thanks rijko for the victor klemperer facts! :)

too bad no one can give the details on her performance. perhaps antibes of germany can. I'm interested in knowing the piece she performed because she rarely play classical music these times.

Vanessa-Mae will be playing plenty of classical music once her new classical album has been released later this year. With her latest album STC, she is simply in a pop mood and pop period.
