Best wishes to all for a Happy Chinese New Year!

There is much confusion online on the animal. I've seen Sheep, Ram, Black Sheep and even Goat. A local restaurant, and those who work with me say 'sheep'. Perhaps Daisy can comment on this.

Happy Chinese New Year! It's the year of the goat(not sheep) and I was born on the year of the goat  Did you all know that Vanessa mae was born on the year of the horse? Here is what is said about the people who were born on the year of the horse.

Yeah, Google says Ram (via picture today); CNN says Goat.

Even Jeliefish's link has this year as Sheep:

BTW ... I am a dragon, so is my wife, plus we were even married in the year of dragon. This is supposed to be a bad combination, but it has lasted at 14 plus years so far.

Yep Ram,Sheep same diff.

Ram: an uncastrated Adult Male sheep.

Explains why I like North Wales so much!! :D

Joe_mate, it is a goat. Being a Chinese, I should know better.
So CNN is right.

Jintan is right, it's the year of the goat! Sheep and goat are not the same.

Happy New Year's to you guys too!
I have a bit of a similar background to VM. She's Chinese-Thai, and I'm Chinese-Cambodian. So not only would Vanessa and I celebrate New Year's on Jan 1st and February 1st, but also in Thailand and Cambodia, New Year's is celebrated on April 13 (and last for three days).
So I guess that means Vanessa-Mae and I have New Year's Three times a year. I'm not a big partier or anything so I won't get exhausted from too much partying. :)

yeah I heard it was the year of the ram....
