Which?

I apologize, I wouldn't normally do this, but i need to survey the group.
I have a competition comin up in a week, and im trying to decide which piece I should play. I'm looking something very showy, and I've narrowed it down to 2 of the following. Would you ALL be willing to vote on which is more (hate to say it) "show off-ish"
1. Fritz Kreisler - Praeludium and Allegro
2. Pablo Sarasate - Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs)
Also if you haven't heard either of these pieces, maybe i can upload them onto a server (wink towards Glenn...please) ???
Thank you

My choice , from a non-violinist, is #2 above
(which is the second audio track below),
Pablo Sarasate - Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs)
It sounds quite challenging but the last 90 seconds include much dynamics, plucking, speed and variety, a real show-piece in my uninformed view.

Kevin, I agree that Sarasate's Opus 20 would entertain the audience more. But you are entering a competition, and as such you need to know the heritage of the panel of judges. Sadly to say, judges are never impartial, and your 'informed' selection could give you an edge.
Sarasate was a Spanish. Kreisler was born an Austrian but later became an American. I guess you would have a hard choice if you happened to reside in California!
Wish you all the best.

Hi Kevin,
I've downloaded the 2 tracks, I love both of them.
But for me, the one that really stands out it has to be..
Pablo Sarasate - Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs).
Wow! I wish I was there to watch you perform this excellent piece.
Kevin,
Get out there, Show off big time and knock 'em dead!
The best of luck to you.
