Well, I've come to the conclusion that I too will join the mass of forum users that dont participate in the forum because their opinions are always shot down, or critisized because they differ from our head "Guru."

I was under the impression that a forum was a place where topics could be discussed openly regardless of opinion, and guess I was wrong with that definition. I've always maintained my impartial status in the forum, never believing everything Vanessa does is the right thing, yet open to seeing both sides of the story (unlike some members of this forum.) I've prided myself on not becoming one of those that lives his or her life for Vanessa, or living witha Vanessa can do no wrong image.

No offense to Aventine or Daisy (dont think I'm missing anyone). I know you guys have no say in what goes on, you just run the forum.

Id like to thank Eva, Benji, Amhor, and Glenn especially, for making my time at the forum a moderately fun experience. (hope i didnt leave anyone out)

There are certain ones that will remain annonymous (but im sure everyone knows who im talking about) That have done nothing but critisize me for voicing a contrary vanessa opinion, and I hope you open your eyes to see that there is much more to life than the lil violin player.

I understand your reasoning and will miss you. :(
I have purposely stayed out of certain discussions for I fear my views might be, well, inflamitory as I see things from a different perspective than many forum members.
But, I'm a resilient personality and do not take too much personally. Kevin, have fun and I'm sure you'll still check us out on occasion.

Kevin,

I asked myself the question whether I should react to you 'saying goodbyes' post or not. Apparently, the answer is yes.

I suppose your 'head guru' refers to me. Somehow, I think that you blame me for a lot, including the fact that most members remain silent and non participating in this forum. I don't feel responsible for that, because it is comon practice in daily life that the majority of people keep their ideas for themsleves. Look also at forums of other artists.

I think that if you have any ideas how to get more members actively involved in the discussions in this forum then maybe you can express these for the benifit of all.

Should I leave to accomplish that and to make everyone express their thoughts.

If someone states an opinion that I do not agree with, then I am used to speak out in the hope to trigger a discussion. The response is often disappointingly low. No one has to agree with me a. And every member is free to post any opinion, including critical comments regarding Vanessa-Mae. But this is a fans forum, and you can expect people not to agree with you.

You feel irritated, that is for sure. Then maybe this forum is not the place for you to be. That is up to you!! I hope that you will change your mind and stay, maybe on a lower level of participation. It is all up to you.

Rijko, you are so naughty!! See what you have done to a little girl?
This Forum certainly has some very young members, and your reply or retort in this instance may be taken as a reprimand to this innocent young girl (I guess she must be in her mid teens). To me, and probably to most members, what that had transpired earlier was measured interaction of opinion, and nothing really to lose sleep over. However, in replying to young members, you need to be very sensitive to their feelings, and always be mindful of their youth and immaturity. It is not always possible to tell their age, but you should infer that she has to be rather young to be still participating in competitions. I read that she came in second in a competition last week. It is rather unfortunate that you had unwittingly scared a young talent from this Forum.
Yes Rijko, you have not done anything that is so wrong. Let's continue to be active in this Forum.

What should I say? "Sorry" seems to be the hardest word...?

Jamais, nous ne ferons qu'un

je voudrais sentir que nous ne sommes qu'un

Kevin,

Hate to see you go.
It happened a few times before that members left and it is always sad to see them go.
I do not post much, but I still pop in several times a day to check if there is any news.
Hope you will do the same.
