hi:
it's there anyone of u know that what kinds of award Vanessa Mae has got before releasing THE VIOLIN PLAYER?

becoz Vanessa Mae is a Violin prodigy, n i'm sure that she must took part in some Prestigious Music Competition before, n may get some Awards.

But none of her album ever mention what awards that she got before?

they just mention that her first concert with orchestra was at the age 10, n first international tour was with LONDON MOZART PLAYERS at 12.

pls tell me if any of u know the answer of it! thanks

Vanessa-Mae never participated in violin competion awards. I know that she did some master classes for violin in Germany as a little child, but no competition was involved in this.

I think that she entered a competition for piano once at a very young age. The award was for most promising young child with a musical talent.

Joining an official competition also has a risk in it, because a dissapointing result will have a negative input on a persons future career.

Vanessa-Mae didn't take part in any competition for violinists. To my knowledge, she never made any statement on the reason for this.

Obviously, Vanessa-Mae definitely shows that her pure musical talent, exeptional technical skills, together with her strong personality are enough to make success in her career in her own way. She has successfully avoided to follow traditional career pathways and that made her to the unique artist and person that she is today.
