Storm opens with a drum and a bass, and is based on Vivaldi.

At least that is how I interpretted the remark.
I would'nt call it drum and base though. Its more house.

Also I thought of Bonds VIVA! when he said this, but thats a (bad, sorry girls but it is) attempt at Hard House.

for me kennedy is a very good artist and i like his sound. guess the word f*** is normal for him or was normal as he was a bit younger than today.....
in some weeks he'll give a concert here and my sister and me bought the tickets today. it's the 'four seasons tour' but i don't know exact what he'll play.

Kennedy....what a subject!

Not a fan, don't too much care for his music either. Yes he has some good technique, but thats where my respect for him ends. Musically i dont think he has anything to offer me.

Also Bonds Viva, the original version by !DEL was more trance than bonds version.

But I think by drum and bass Kennedy just meant that in general....the drums, and the bass. Which Vanessa is guilty of, but who cares?

I think it has all to do whether you appreciate and like Vanessa-Mae's modification of a well known classical music piece into a modern pop contemporary version. This also holds for other artists as well.

Classical purists obviously don't, and Kennedy is apparently very happy that he has their approval again.

Good for him.

I always find such discussions a bit amusing.

Music is a human expression and who is to say what type of expression is right or wrong. I might enjoy 160bpm hardhouse trance while another enjoys opera in italian and a third enjoys Tibetan chants or hand-clap rythmes. I may not like some music,.. but that doesn't mean its wrong. It is that individual artists expression which may be enjoyed by millions or none,.. doesn't matter in my view.

So for Kennedy to complain such a manner is odd and points to possibily some personal frustrations on his part maybe. Just because one doesn't like a particular syle of music or the methods used to create the music doesn't mean it is wrong or somehow not worthy of praise. I could type 4 more paragraphs but I'll stop.

Mr Kennedy, create your music, enjoy the opportunities it affords you, and be thankful to have such.
PS: I dislike whiners

I hate Kennedy. Sometimes he's such a hypocrite. Bond (and V-M) have done good things for classical.
